1.      Gather your materials

Before you begin, ensure you have all the necessary materials on hand. In your package you will receive stencil paint, 3 brushes, stencil, wood or canvas board, fun. Preferable place a paint friendly mat underneath your project to prevent any paint on your table

   2.      Clean Surface

Start by cleaning your wooden/canvas surface to remove any dust that could interfere with your paint’s adhesion. Mild soapy water and a soft cloth should do the trick for most surfaces. Ensure surface is completely dry before moving on to the next step.

There are 3 layers to your stencil.

A) Top – Clear lined transfer tape

B) Middle - coloured stencil picture

C) Back - of stencil, white or clear plastic sheet 

   3.      Paint the face of the wood board

Paint the face of the wood board and let dry before applying the stencil. For best results, apply two coats. This paint is not provided due to personal preference colour.

   4.      Apply the stencil

Peel off C) the back of the stencil, white or clear plastic sheet and apply the stencil to your wood/canvas in desired placement.

   5.      Press Stencil to wood/canvas

Gently scrape the bubbles from the stencil and adhere to the wood/canvas.

   6.      Peel of the transfer tape

Gently peel off A) top clear layer of your stencil. You will now have the coloured stencil visible.

   7.      Paint the wood/canvas

Now your ready to paint. Apply the wood paint in thin even strokes. For best results, apply two coats, allowing each coat to dry thoroughly before applying the next.
